Cash Management Accountant

Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading business based in Walsall who are looking to recruit a Cash Management Accountant to the team.

The role of Cash Management Accountant is to control, report and analyse the actual results of the company, to include P&L, balance sheet and cashflow.

The Cash Management Accountant will be responsible for:

• To ensure that all cash transactions are processed accurately through the various systems and that financial control and governance is maintained on cash & banking activities
• To assist in the production of weekly cash flow forecasts, ensuring that control is maintained and reporting is analysed in a timely and accurate manner
• Complete matching of cashbook transactions using the companies reporting system, ensuring that all banking transactions are posted to the general ledger promptly and accurately
• Complete weekly bank reconciliations as required and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain the bank mandates and authorised signatory matrix
• Control the processing of BACs, ACH, CHAPS and manual cheque payments to ensuring correctly approved in line with internal control guidelines

The suitable Cash Management Accountant:

• Part qualified accountant (CIMA ACCA, or ACA) with practical experience, preferably studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification
• Experience of performing month end management accounts and analysis to budget, forecast and prior year
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Pro-active & enthusiastic
• Used to working within tight deadlines
• Keen to look for ways to change and improve processes
• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel/Office
• Able to work autonomously and be self motivated
• Experience in a Cash Management Accountant role (desireable)
