Cost Accountant

Four Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Cost Accountant to work within the Commercial Finance Team at a large Service Provider on a permanent basis.

• Ensuring that requests for costings of new product development / product standard costs / what-if costs and simulations are completed promptly by tracking and reporting on their status.
• Ensuring that the above costings are completed accurately in both Excel and SAP.
• Ensuring that new standard costs are activated correctly in all accounting systems for new and changed products including changing status of products from development to production in the correct sequence.
• Supporting the preparation of simulated product costs to be used in forecasts and budgets in line with agreed schedules.
• Supporting the preparation of the annual update of product standard costs across multiple systems
• Liaison and working with Site and Head office colleagues to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Ability to stand back from the data and look at the bigger picture in terms of where these costings contribute to our company's growth and development
• Contributing to continual improvement both within the team and across the business

To be considered for this role you will ideally hold an AAT qualification or have a relevant degree (2:1 or above) and have SAP experience. You will also have experience in a fast paced and demanding finance environment and have strong interpersonal skills.
