A growing, Halifax based business is recruiting a new Financial Accountant.

Your new company

Our client is a well-established, niche manufacturing organisation with a global presence; their UK operations are based from Halifax. They're a growing, highly profitable division and in turn the opportunity has arisen for a financial accountant to work in their UK Finance team due to the current member of staff relocating.

Your new role

Reporting into the onsite Finance Director, your duties will include:

• Preparation of statutory accounts to UK GAAP and produce IFRS reporting packs.

• Production of the corporate tax returns.

• Coordination of the year end audit.

• Preparation and control of trial balance.

• Management of treasury, credit control, purchase ledger and general ledger functions.

• Manage as hoc projects related to group activities.

What you'll need to succeed

• Industry recognised accountancy (CIMA, ACA or ACCA).
• Proven or demonstrable experience of finance accounting.
• Ideally 2 years post qualification experience (ideally within industry).
• Good level of IT skills: Excel, Word, Powerpoint
• Ideally manufacturing experience
• Team Player.
