Pensions Accountant

A leading technology organisation is seeking an experienced Pensions Accountant to join its Financial team based in Hampshire. Reporting directly to the Head of Pensions, the Pensions Accountant will be producing annual reports and accounts, quarterly management accounts for the schemes administered through group pensions. Providing a planning, budgeting and monitoring service for pension scheme administration expenses and pension project costs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Responsibility for the statutory audit process
• Providing and keeping current, the governance aspects in relation to scheme report and accounts
• Reviewing consolidated quarterly management reports, reviewing and preparing commentaries for expenditure and presenting reports at trustee meetings
• Preparing annual budgets for five year plans, reporting of expenditure against budget in respect of administration expenditure for Group pensions, investment costs and administration costs for the pension schemes
• Preparing annual budgets for investment management fees
• Reviewing and preparing analytical review of expenditure against agreed project budgets

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/ ACMA
• Previous experience as a pension scheme accountant
• Experience of pensions scheme reporting
• Extensive knowledge of SORP
