My client a market leading Building and Construction organisation based in Harlow are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their growing finance function. Description

Working as an Assistant Management Accountant in Harlow you will be reporting directly into the Senior Management Accountant. You will be responsible in assisting with key duties to ensure the smooth running of the finance function for this important subsidiary. Duties will include:

  • To provide finance support for retail and online sales and order fulfilment process;

  • To perform regular reconciliations of customer payments and stock despatch;

  • To allocate customer receipts using online platforms;

  • To process customer returns and raise relevant credit and debit notes;

  • To assist with month end process, calculate and post pre-payments and accruals. To ensure actuals are reported on time as per the timetable in full and can be used by senior management to make decisions;

  • To participate in regular inventory counts, reconcile stock and process any discrepancies;

  • To produce and distribute regular sales reports for various sales channels;

  • To analyse marketing and administrative expenses and process inter-company recharges;

  • To maintain the contact with Finance Shared Services Centre on management of Accounts Payable, Travel & Expenses and General Ledgers processes and resolve queries;

  • To recommend process improvements and to assist Corporate Finance Analyst in their implementation;

  • To support Corporate Finance Analyst during the new system (SAP) implementation;

Profile

The successful candidate MUST:

* Be part qualified (ACCA or CIMA) or looking to commence studies in the near future
* Have exposure to journal processing
* Have a clear understanding of debits and credits
* Have strong Excel skills to include v look ups and pivot tables
* Have strong communication skills to be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
