Financial Accountant

Peterborough: Cambridgeshire:- The One Group have been exclusively engaged to recruit a Financial Accountant for a successful and established business, with a varied portfolio of brands. 

Reporting to the head of finance and working as part of an established finance team, the position would suit a technical accountant already in industry, or a first time practice leaver.

Key duties include
- Preparation of year end statutory accounts for multiple company's
- Creation of ixbrl files for submission to HMRC
- Advising on and monitoring appropriate statutory accounts treatment of various transactions, in accordance with latest Reporting Standards
- Managing accounting aspects of UK properties, liaising with our external property managers,
- Accounting for UK intangible assets and Investments
- Preparation of annual PSA returns for all UK companies. Liaison with expenses and accounts payable teams about tax treatment of PSA/P11d items.
- Monthly and annual reporting
- Management of intercompany balance reconciliations and reporting
- Assisting with VAT return and Corporation tax return compliance
- VAT returns
- Quarterly foreign entertainers unit returns
- Withholding tax returns and management
- Assisting with fixed asset accounting

Suitable applicants are likely to have trained in a medium/ large accounting firm, or have had 2 years + group accounting experience.

ACA/ACCA/qualification preferred but not essential
