Systems Accountant

A fast growing company based in Wolverhampton are currently recruiting for a Systems Accountant to assist a major Sage X3 implementation project across the business and join them on a temp to perm basis.

The successful Systems Accountant will have previous experience working through a Sage ERP X3 implementation and have a good understanding of the system implementation procedures.

Your role as a Systems Accountant will be but not be limited to:

• Migration of financial accounting from current systems to Sage ERP X3
• Configuration of Sage ERP X3 to cope with the reporting requirements the business entities. All provide different services and have different reporting needs.
• Control of the data transfer process between the firm's current trading system and Sage ERP X3
• Budget vs Actual reporting. Reporting not only on a P&L basis but on a cash flow basis (what was forecasted vs what was spent)
• Creation of full management accounting process of transferring data from Sage to management accounts based on profit centre.
• Producing statutory financial statements for individual entities within the Group, including Ltd companies, assisting with all financial reporting requirements
• Production of consolidated financial statements
• Proven experience of creating and maintaining a solid set of internal management accounting
• Controlling income, cash flow forecasting and expenditure for each entity
• Acting as a point of contact for monthly / quarterly financial reporting requirements
• Liaising with internal and external auditors and responding to queries
• Providing support to the accounting team on an ad hoc basis

The ideal Systems Accountant will have:

• Immediately Available or available at short notice
• Qualified accountant
• Experience of accounting software migration essential
• Experience of Sage ERP X3 essential
• Experience of accounting and consolidation procedures
• Able to work efficiently and effectively with a high level of activity and changing priorities and have absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters and demonstrate commercial awareness
• Has excellent communication skills at all levels and an ability to work within a close knit environment both at team and organisational level
• Able to work well in a team and under pressure and to influence and persuade at a high level
