They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join their company owned Ebor stores based in Dunnington, York.

As the Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for providing commercial finance support through producing Board papers and providing crucial insights and recommendations in order to increase sales and profitability. Within the role you will assess current and potential store performance, analysing trials and also measure the return on space in store. Managing the month end process, such as monthly accounts preparation, balance sheet oversight alongside the production of account packs and KPIs for Board reporting. Improving financial control and processes the successful candidate will assist the statuary audit and accounts process. Supervising the Business Planning process for the EBOR P&L through assessing the 12 month rolling forecasts/ budgets, you will provide financial leadership in the environment of planning assumptions and presentation of analysis.

Educated to degree level, you will ideally be a qualified accountant / MBA, however this is not essential and you will possess relevant experience within a similar commercial finance role. The successful Finance Business Partner will have a strong commercial background, gained through an industry route (ideally Retail or FMCG) or through an advisory function in a large professional services organisation. With good working knowledge of Finance and BI systems (Coda, Cognos BI and Cognos EP/TM1 particularly), you will be able to analyse high volumes of data from multiple date sources. A competent IT user, the successful candidate will be an advanced user of Excel and Powerpoint. This Finance Business Partner role is ideal for an individual who is seeking to make an impact in a high profile role and develop their career, perhaps working towards a Senior Finance Manager role in the next few years.
