My client is looking for an experienced qualified Finance Manager with a passion for fast moving retail to lead the Finance team. They will be able to evaluate the strengths & weaknesses of the existing finance team, possess strong communication skills in order effectively integrate finance and non-finance. Retail or FMCG experience will be highly regarded.

Description
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- To manage our busy finance department while providing supporting data to business stakeholders.
- To produce monthly management accounts & cost centre reports and assist in the production of budgets & forecasts.
- To manage & reconcile the EPOS to accounting software interface.
- Hands on management of the accounts team providing direction & support where necessary. Conducting regular team meetings to brief the accounts team on wider company news, their department performance & any actions needed.
- Overseeing day to day transactions.
- Ensuring that the business meets its statutory financial commitments on time.
- Managing the accounts team to ensure that our customers pay us in full and on time.
- Managing the accounts team to ensure that our suppliers are paid in full and on time.
- Provide weekly sales reports & analysis for consideration by the senior managers of the business.
- Mentoring our ACCA general ledger students (x 2).
- Financial year end accounting & audit support
Profile
The ideal candidate will:
- Be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Have experience of managing a department & be used to working to strict deadlines.
- Working experience of Sage Line 50 or similar.
- Has been involved in the selection/installation of new ERP software and system processes.
- Experience dealing with stock
