With their main head office in Cambridge and offices across Northern America, as well as East Asia, this Science and Research company are heavily involved in distributing and producing a variety of different products for different research divisions.

They work with customers from all over the wold and pride themselves on being an ambitious, vibrant and authentic company. Their finance team is expanding, with plans to add to their headcount within the next 12-18 months.

Description

There are a number of key duties and responsibilities involved in the Accounts Assistant role, such as:

  • Bank reconciliation; reconciliation of funds received against invoices issued.

  • Chasing outstanding invoices and sending reminders to customers.

  • Make sure suppliers are paid on time and send remittance advice.

  • Preparing quarterly VAT return and Monthly EC sales list.

  • Go through control process to make sure all the sales invoices are recorded.

  • Prepare monthly financial reports for directors to review.

  • Prepare yearly company financial reports.

  • Admin work such as ordering office supplies.

Profile

The ideal candidate for the Accounts Assistant role should be:

  • QuickBooks or equivalent accounting package.

  • Excel (basic skills plus V-look ups and Pivot Tables).

  • Highly motivated.

  • Good communications skills.

  • Accounts preparations experience.

  • Month- end process.

  • Experience of working in an office based environment.

  • AAT (Qualified or studying) or studying towards ACCA/CIMA.
