Investment Accountant

A large financial services organisation based near Liverpool are currently looking for an Investment Accountant to be responsible for the investment accounting reporting, and valuation assurance of the organisation's investment portfolio. An exciting 6 month contract, paying £250-350 per day.

About the job

As Investment Accountant, you would be expected to carry out the following duties & responsibilities:

• Responsible for the investment accounting reporting and valuation assurance of the organisation's investment portfolio
• Ensuring that valuation assurance and investment accounting is completed and accurate for the purposes of the investment portfolio
• Ensuring all books and records accurately reflect investment transactions and balances
• Managing the financial and business change implications of investment decisions including liquidity management, pricing policy, product changes and new vehicle diversification
• Key stakeholder management; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships both internally and externally with main points of contact being; Investment Accounting team, CFO and Heads of Investment

About the person

• A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or international equivalent) or by qualified by experience (QBE)
• Ideally, from a financial services background
• Excellent product knowledge of investments generally, investment vehicles, valuation methods, pricing risk and fee structures.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships with peers, Head of Investment desks and multiple stakeholders
