Outstanding Career Opportunity for a Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA Financial Controller our client - a £45m t/o rapidly expanding division of a FTSE 100 Group - in a new role created by an internal ongoing business expansion and succession planning. With the company growing at a rate of 20% year on year, through both organic growth and acquisition, the FD is moving to more of a commercial/strategic role meaning this role has been created to manage the team of 6 Accounts Assistants and take responsibility for a broad range of finance duties and with the remit of ultimately taking over all Finance duties from the Finance Director.
 

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts, including reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, group reporting and the preparation of the board report.
  • Variance Analysis and Reporting
  • Business Partnering with Operations teams and Budget Holders
  • Management of sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll functions ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Preparation of financial data for budgeting, forecasting and strategy purposes
  • Standard costing
  • Stock management
  • Responsible for company tax compliance
  • Management of the company's healthcare, critical illness and company car policies
  • Supervision of internal and external audits
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and year end group reporting
  • Contributing to the company's HR responsibilities
  • Supporting the management of the companies IT department
  • Preparation of ad-hoc divisional information and reports


Applicants must be fully qualified ACA. ACCA or CIMA Financial Controllers (and ideally Graduates) with prior experience of managing a similar profile finance team in a manufacturing environment. You will be a tenacious, self-starter, committed & hardworking with a charismatic approach and the ability to quickly forge strong relationships with colleagues at all levels across the business. Good computer literacy is essential, particularly MS Excel and previous experience of MS Dynamics Navision would be advantageous. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive business in a role offering real development and progression.
