Senior Assistant Accountant

A market leading operation is looking to recruit a Senior Assistant Accountant due to an internal promotion. This position would particularly appeal to an ambitious CIMA studier seeking a broad role to complement their studies in a fast-paced finance environment. You will receive a study package with tailored support from the Finance Manager and specifics of the role will include:

*Supporting the month end process including ownership of specific areas of the balance sheet and P&L
*Exposure to budgets, forecasts and cash flow processes
*Preparation of journals, accruals and prepayments
*Reconciliation of balance sheets on a weekly and monthly basis
*Maintenance of the fixed asset register

The ideal candidate for this position will be part qualified in a professional financial qualification with experience of working within a busy finance setting. You will be a confident communicator as there are succession plans in place for this role to develop into a more commercial remit which will involve working with non-financial staff to deliver meaningful financial information.
