Financial Accountant

The SF Group is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant for a market leading manufacturing business in Burton that has a strong heritage and history. This opportunity is as a result of an internal promotion, and they are looking for someone who also is keen to step up and be promoted within the business in a couple of years.

As the Financial Accountant you will provide financial reporting and forecasting assistance to the Finance Director.

Key Duties and Accountability:

• Monthly financial reporting to Group
• Annual statutory reporting and in-year tax reporting
• Assisting the FD with cash/balance sheet forecasting
• Assisting the financial accountant with balance sheet reconciliations, including PAYE, VAT and Corporation Tax returns
• Monthly and annual consolidation of management accounts
• Completion of monthly financial reporting to Group
• Preparation of weekly dashboard KPIs
• Assisting the FD with the Board Reports
• Assisting the FD with monthly cash forecasting and reporting
• Corporation tax quarterly payments and year-end provision of tax packs
• Ownership of the year-end audit process and statutory financial statements
• Ad-hoc tasks/projects
• Completing and submitting National Statistic forms
• Assisting the Finance Director with other ad-hoc duties as required

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting experience. You must be able to work to deadlines, be self-motivated and be able to prioritize workloads.
