The SF Group are currently recruiting for a Tax Accountant for a successful business in Burton. This position is as a result of business growth and internal progression and offers the successful candidate opportunities to progress and develop their career. As the tax Accountant you will support the Tax Manager, ensuring timely preparation and submission of UK and US tax filings and associated compliance and business advisory support.

Key Duties and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the annual process for the preparation of UK and US corporation tax computations and ensure returns are submitted on time
  • Assist with the preparation of tax entries for half year and full year Group consolidated accounts, and UK statutory accounts
  • Assist with the review of procedures and controls across all relevant UK taxes to support SAO reporting and implement identified improvements
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the Groups transfer pricing policies
  • Prepare the annual UK P11D and PSA returns and work with the Finance and HR teams to identify and eliminate PAYE/NI risks
  • Assist with research and implementation of tax planning projects, including but not limited to compliance and reporting, transfer pricing policy and documentation, group structure planning, and new ventures and acquisitions
  • Provide support to the business to advise on tax issues effecting new contracts and trading opportunities and suggest potential solutions or alternatives
  • Support the Tax Manager with HMRC investigations, claims and elections

You will ideally be qualified (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA/ ATT/ CTA) either within practice or industry with a strong understanding of Tax and compliance work with an interest to specialise and carve out a career in tax.

You will be organised, detail orientated, with excellent communication skills and the ability support the business and build strong internal stakeholder management skills.
