Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an interim Capital Accountant for a council in the South Yorkshire area.
Due to the impending early retirement of the council's Chief Accountant and another key member of the corporate Finance team early in 2017, my client find themselves understrength as they approach year end.
As a consequence, they are looking for an interim accountant to support the corporate finance team through the appointment of a part - time temporary specialist resource to assist with Capital Financing and Strategic Treasury Management over the next 6 months.
The role would include assisting the preparation of the Council's treasury management strategy and managing the capital financing budget, monitoring against the Council's Prudential indicators, and, high level oversight of day to day treasury activity, including cash flow forecasting borrowing and investments.
It would also include closing down treasury / capital financing for the 2016/17 accounts and preparing the related Financial Instruments disclosures
Local government experience is essential.
