Your new role
You will be managing a team of 2 in a wider matrix structure
Defining, developing and monitoring an effective Financial Crime prevention framework across the business by co-ordinating with the business MLRO's and business Financial Crime Prevention resources.
Providing assurance to senior managers on the effectiveness of the Financial Crime Prevention Controls across the organisation
Embedding a positive culture of confident and proactive customer considerations leading to informed risk-taking through training, communication and of the agreed Financial Crime risk framework.
Managing the promotion financial crime policy framework and related Letter of Representation process.
Raising awareness and championing best practice in respect of Financial Crime Prevention.
Supporting investigations and engagement with law enforcement and relevant regulatory bodies where appropriate.
Overseeing the monitoring programs in place within the businesses to ensure adherence to Group money laundering policy and procedures.
Responding to regulatory requests for information on Financial Crime related matters.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need the gravitas to represent the Financial Crime team across he business and hold your own with senior stakeholders. You will need excellent interpersonal skills and technical knowledge across a range of technical financial crime disciplines eg within financial distribution or platform business. You could come from a Wealth, Asset Management, Banking or Life and Pensions background.
You should have excellent team management skills and be up to date with the current developments in cyber crime and other financial crime-related initiatives.
