Financial Controller

RattrayParkin are recruiting for a Finance Manager/Financial Controller to join an SME business who have recently embarked upon an exciting investment phase. Based in Leicestershire and reporting to a newly appointed FD, you will support all aspects of the finance function. You will manage a small finance team.

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Monthly and quarterly reporting
• Provision of regular management information
• Cash flows, cash control and management
• Budgets and forecasts
• Maintenance of fixed asset registers
• Depreciation calculations
• Cost analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with Year-End duties
• Liaise with external stakeholders (auditors, bankers and suppliers)
• Review existing process and implement necessary changes
• Development of existing systems
• Staff development

Competencies

• Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/ACMA
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Staff management
• Good systems skills (Excel particularly)
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving SME environment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
• Desire to learn
• Ability to liaise with other business units (sales, operations etc)
• Personable and able to influence others

You will receive support and development from the FD and will be given the opportunity to further develop your skills. You do not need to be the finished article but must be seeking a long term career with a business that has an ambition to further expand and offer long term career progression.
