Opportunity

One of the world's foremost commodities trading units has a new opportunity for an Accounting Policy Manager to join their London team. This is a fantastic step in to a major group whose principle activities have helped shape and continue to drive forwards the global energy markets. The role is well suited to a Chartered Accountant with post qualified experience in a similar, technically focused role within commodities trading or related sectors.

Summary of content

With a focus on providing first class customer service to a fast paced business, the Manager will be an expert in providing guidance and assurance of accounting policy to various international functions and becoming part of a highly able team. The team itself is responsible for establishing relevant accounting policies in line with IFRS (9 is integral / IAS 39) and providing advice and training on the application of these policies including assurance to senior leadership. You will be expected to provide advice on all new business initiatives giving you great exposure to a broad range of projects and a diverse collection of people.

Experience and skills

It is anticipated that you will be a practice trained (Big 4 or equivalent) Chartered Accountant with post qualified experience working in industry or advising commodity trading or banking clients on IFRS and IAS related transactions. An ability to translate complex data in to layman's terms and the associated relationship building skills should see you make a confident step in to a long term career focused employer of choice.
