Financial Reporting Accountant
A large blue-chip manufacturing organisation based on the South Coast are seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist on a 9 month fixed term contract to cover a secondment
Key responsibilities:
* Provide oversight support to outsourced partner accounting processes, including month end and UK GAAP accounting as required.
* Manage tax and statutory accounting for regional areas of responsibility and overall compliance in areas of legal/regulatory filings.
* Provide regular Balance sheet updates to senior leaders, explaining complex transactions and balances, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
* Manage internal and external audits as required through query resolution, remediate control improvement opportunities, self-test controls as needed.
* Manage (UK) Legal entity forecasting & consolidation processes and other key metrics to highlight balance sheet health to senior leaders as needed.
Educated to degree level, having attained a recognised accounting qualification, i.e. CIMA, ACCA, ACA or European equivalent.
Other finance qualifications eg Treasury, tax, economics are desirable.
Financial Reporting Accountant Essential Skills:
* Previous experience in a diverse professional team is essential with business exposure.
* Excellent coordination, inter-personal and organisational skills.
* Awareness of IFRS principles and accounting.
* Previous audit experience.
* Experience or exposure to managing a small team.
