A high-growth Fortune 500 business is currently seeking a new Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will support a rapidly expanding region with responsibilities spanning across: management accounting, financial accounting, analysis and M&A projects.
Reporting into the Regional Director, the Senior Accountant's responsibilities will include:
-Preparation of the monthly management accounts (including making journal entries, accruals, and prepayments)
-Responsibility for the monthly management accounting for several newly created branches
-Coordinating with external advisors to ensure VAT and corporation tax compliance
-Responsibility for financial statement preparation
-Responsibility to ensure all deadlines are met in each country (reporting/tax)
-Oversee monthly payroll payments and journal entries.
-Monthly review of each entity/branch P&L and Balance Sheet
-Preparation of monthly, quarterly and year end financial reporting.
-Investigation and analysis of costs to resolve queries from the business
-Responsibility to take the lead in project work to improve overall financial processes/functions/reporting (UK and Europe)
-Involvement in M&A projects within region
-Involvement in all systems and process initiatives that affect or influence finance function
Experience Required:
-Graduate, CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or Finalist
-Commercial experience ideally in a large multinational
-International experience, dealing with several locations and coordinating across time zones
-Experience in tax and financial statements compliance in non UK companies
