Management Accountant - Operations

Reporting to the Finance Manager - Operations, the Management Accountant - Operations will support the finance and business processes across accommodation commitments, costs and recoveries. This is a Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2017.

As a result of the significant growth of the Jet2holidays business, this new opportunity will support the Supplier Advance Approval Request (SAPR) process, assessing and evaluating risk and contributing to business cases whilst ensuring prompt and timely turnaround of all requests. You will recommend improvements and enhancements to the SAPR process and our in-house system. The reporting on the timing of cashflows and levels of commitment in terms of guarantees and advances across current and future seasons is vital to the success of this role. You will provide financial analysis of accommodation costs, including developing rate / volume and mix analysis to understand and report on the changes year on year / season to season.

In addition, you will support the monthly reporting and accounting for risk and recovery of commitments and the forward forecasting and modelling of accommodation costs for budgeting and other regular Company forecasts.

You will be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with a proven track record of preparing financial reporting and analysis that is constructed from significant detail, but presented clearly and succinctly. Strong MS Excel skills are a must, along with a demonstrable ability to manage considerable data with efficient processes. You will have good communication skills, be organised and meticulous with the ability to adapt and respond well to change.
