Part qualified/newly qualified accountant? Our client in Hull is looking for a candidate with minimum of 3 years experience to join their accounting team as a Finance Operations Analyst. Good career prospects for the future are on offer, free parking and study assistance to finish exams if required. A manufacturing background would be ideal but not essential.


THE ROLE

-Managing standard costs and bills of materials of new products
-Review and analysis of standard costs for existing products
-Variance analysis, reporting of overheads and expenses, developing and updating cost models
-Supporting the production of monthly accounts, processing journals, accruals and prepayments
-Capex control, fixed assets register, production of annual budgets and monthly forecast
-Liaising with cost centre managers on cost variances



THE CANDIDATE

-You will ideally be a part qualified studying CIMA accountant/finalist or newly qualified (salary dependent on level of qualification). AAT qualified candidates are also welcome to apply.
-Strong Excel skills are essential as is the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team, excellent attention to detail and first class analytical and investigative skills
-A high standard of systems literacy is required and previous experience of ERP/SAP is desirable
-A natural communicator, you engage with colleagues and managers alike forging successful working relationships across the company.
