Investment Analyst

Opportunity for a progressive and leading finance professional

A private equity backed investment business are looking for an up and coming investment analyst.

The Investment Analyst will primarily be expected to evaluate potential investment opportunities and be responsible for actively monitoring companies within the portfolio. S/he will work closely with other members of the Company and should be comfortable operating in a collaborative structure.

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities of the role will include:

• Analysing and valuing potential acquisition opportunities for the Company
• Financial modelling and projection.
• Analysing financial information, e.g. company results, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements to determine how potential targets and existing opco's are positioned to deliver for investors.
• Conducting due diligence on companies and industries by researching, reading financial statements and market data;
• Keeping up to date with market developments, new investment products, etc

Professional Background:

The successful candidate will have outstanding intellect and analytical skills.

• Graduate with MBA / ACA or similar professional qualification
• Two years of experience in an investment role.
• Strong quantitative skills and strong understanding of excel.
• Solid oral and written skills are important.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to be a self-starter and a respectful approach are desired personality traits.
• The candidate will also be expected to work well in the context of a small team environment
