Builders Beams Ltd is one of the largest steel fabricators in the South East. The company is currently growing at an annual rate of 20% and a central part of this growth is maintaining an effective, efficient and motivated finance team. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, self-motivated individual to join us as Finance Controller Manager

The Role

You will be a proactive hands-on accountant (AAT qualified, finalist or qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong commercial acumen and manufacturing sector experience. SAGE line 50 not essential but an advantage
Additionally, you will have previous experience within a SME environment, and will be driven to add value and implement improvements.
Your Financial Controller role is the number two in finance leading, reporting to the Finance Director. Team management will be key to your role. The ability to coach and communicate downwards as well as present and liaise upwards is imperative, and you'll be required to work across the different technical teams getting involved in various ad hoc projects. Day to day there will be review of work on both the management reporting and statutory side, in addition to budgeting, forecasting and financially supporting strategic board decisions.

What you'll need to succeed

An accountant with a blend of sound technical skills and insightful commercial acumen; Comfortable in the detail but also able to take a strategic perspective. Experience of working within the construction or manufacturing sectors is essential. You'll also have excellent communication skills and the energy and charisma to fit into this high growth environment.
