The principle responsibilities are:

*Responsible for managing the monthly forecasting process: clear understanding of underlying assumptions, variables and business drivers behind the P&L, balance sheet and cashflow forecasts.
*Review and challenge of variance analysis provided to EM&T BPM team
*Provide cover for weekly cash forecasting process
*Support the month end process by actively participating in P&L and balance sheet reviews
*Deliver timely and accurate reporting and analysis to Corporate Centre finance.
*Ad-hoc support to key stakeholders, including Director, Trading & BPM and EM&T FD.
*Direct ownership of monthly opex forecasts including detailed bottom up planning and liaison with rest of finance on recharges in/out
*Support processes around production, analysis and reporting of actual opex
*Ensure adherence to and reporting of internal controls
*Maintenance of key reporting excel databases to support the above
*Key user of SAP BPC: Leverage BPC planning system to improve processes, retire legacy spreadsheets and deliver additional benefits.
*Support the process changes due to new and changing business activity

Background and experience:


*Fully qualified accountant.
*The candidate must have knowledge or experience of commodity/energy trading
*Personable, able to build relationships with a range of internal partners from both financial and non-financial backgrounds.
*Strong attention to detail
*IT literate - Strong Excel essential, SAP BPC and BW experience preferred.
*Strong problem solving skills are required, with a strong focus on internal controls.
*Experience of consolidating and analysing financial results and forecasts for both P&L and cashflow.
