Our client a leading print and direct marketing business in Birmingham is seeking a Finance Manager to join the senior team on a part-time basis working between 3/4 days a week. The business is going through a period of growth with ambitions for further growth. Managing a team of 4 the right candidate would report to the Managing Director. The purpose of the role would be to manage all financial activities on site, to ensure accurate and timely preparation of the company's results and to ensure timely and accurate submission of all statutory accounts. To manage all local IT activities to ensure systems availability, functionality and security.
The successful candidate will be involved with the following:
FINANCE
Production of month end and year-end accounts, complying with all legal, statutory and group accounting requirements.
Ensure the effective and efficient running of the Finance department ensuring best possible relations with internal departments along with production of accurate and timely management information.
Ensure the provision of an effective, accurate and efficient costing system to help achieve Company margin requirements.
Provide accurate information for the production of the sites management accounts.
Manage the Company cash flow requirements, including processing and payment of all purchase ledger invoicing (factoring).
Financial staff management, motivation, training, recruitment and selection.
Liaison with all relevant external bodies, i.e. Auditors, Inland Revenue, HMRC, etc.
Company Insurance compliance.
To ensure all legal and statutory requirements are met and adhered to within the department.
IT:
Act as an interface between business and IT.
Support the business with new IT implementation projects.
Take ownership of projects within the IT domain and assure that due dates are met and deliveries are according to customers specification.
Develop, coach and support the local IT staff in their daily activities.
COMMUNICATION
To communicate accurately and effectively with all employees as appropriate, (particularly with production, sales and customer care / credit control departments).
To ensure all required reports are distributed accurately and within correct time period.
The Ideal candidate would have the following:
ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent
experience at Financial managers level or equivalent
PR/Marketing/Operational/manufacturing controlling Experience would desirable
Full ownership of management and statutory accounting
ERP implementation support
