Credit Controller

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an experienced and proven Credit Controller for a large distribution business in Sheffield They have several sites across the UK and a strong global footprint which make them market leaders in their field.

This role of Credit Controller will report to the Finance Manager and you will be working as part of a small but well established team. You will be required to work towards pre-determined targets and manage your own part of the ledger.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

*To manage portfolio of accounts to deliver target cash collection and debtor reporting on a monthly basis
*To control customers whose credit cycle is non automated ensuring payments are to agreed terms
*Manage accounts to minimise bad debt risk through use and access to debtor information and Credit Checks
*Actively pursue overdue debt, minimise the value unpaid & therefore minimise potential bad debt
*Record all queries logged by customers ensuring audit trail and root cause resolution. Managing queries to a minimum
*Participate in active management and quality reviews to drive Best Operating Performance and team effectiveness
*Create & discuss debtor performance reports with Manager

To be successful you MUST have the following attributes:

* At least 2 years' experience within a Credit Control environment
* Strong communication skills
* Target focused and driven
* Able to work well as part of a team
