Management Accountant
Are you somebody that loves a challenge and would thrive in a fast paced environment? Gleeson Recruitment Group are supporting a Private Equity backed manufacturing organisation in Leicester, who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team.
As a PE backed organisation there is a time line where the business will eventually be sold, however that will most likely occur in the next 5 years. During that time the organisation will be heavily investing in new acquisitions and the Management Accountant role will be at the forefront of that decision making process.
The Management Accountants role will include:
- Preparation of cash forecasts
- Monitoring cash payments and receipts to ensure forecasts are met
- Creation and maintenance of accurate costing records for monitoring product profitability
- identification of cost saving opportunities
- Liaison with operational management to provide timely information in support of their role
The Management Accountant role will see you thrust into the day to day operations of a growing business and will differ to many others on the market due to the fast paced and ever changing environment where every day will be a challenge. If you enjoy getting into the detail and want to have a major influence on how the business develops, then this could be a great role to broaden your experience and influence key decision makers.
Is this the right role for me?
It is expected that you are confident producing management accounts and are now looking to further your career by taking on more value add responsibilities. The month end routine is 40% of this role and by having previous experience, it will ensure that you can hit the ground running. The remainder of your month will see you interacting with the business looking at reducing operational costs, supporting decision making on new investments and working closely with the site MD to help push through improvements.
Ideally you will have experience within a manufacturing organisation and are confident producing management accounts with limited support. If you are still studying towards your ACCA or CIMA qualification then full study support will be provided alongside a generous package.
