Leading multi-site legal Practice looking for a qualified Management Accountant
Hays are delighted to be working with one of the fastest growing Legal and Professional services companies in the North West. This successful and entrepreneurial business, based on the Wirral, is looking to expand their finance function with the appointment of a qualified Management Accountant, ideally with industry knowledge.
As the Management Accountant you will be responsible for the preparation of all aspects of management accounts, financial reporting, auditing and asset management for the group businesses together with the Financial Controller. The role will also support on financial accounting duties such as preparation of annual statutory statements, preparation of consolidated statements, assist with corporate governance, monitoring cash flow etc. This broad role is ideal for people wanting to progress into a Finance Manager / Financial Controller role in the future.
In order to succeed you will need proven Management Accounting skills and preferably experience of working in the Legal Sector. There is a strong preference for Practice trained candidates with ACCA or ACA qualifications, particularly if there is additional knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules. However, candidates with significant industry experience but no formal qualifications will be considered.
