I am currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Business Partner for a retail business based in Central London. You must be immediately available or on 1 weeks notice.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing team to enhance the existing reporting and month end process on a £100m budget.
  • Implement processes with workstreams and PMO leads to enable effective forecasting.
  • Manage the production of monthly and ad-hoc reporting to the Integration Committee (consisting of c-suite employees)
  • Ensure all financial data is correctly recorded on the Finance system and ledgers by liaising with the relevant Heads of finance within the business.
  • Pro-actively challenge cost bases and reduce where possible.
  • Understand, challenge and resolve the classification of costs as integration or BAU. This will include appropriate classification in to capital or operating costs.
  • To identify and resolve any financial issues with the Project Managers and/or Project Directors. To pro-actively suggest new ways of working and solutions to problems where appropriate.
  • To act as the first point of contact for project finance issues with respect to each of the integration workstreams.
  • Manage regular project expenditure re-forecasts in conjunction with project managers and review these with senior staff as appropriate.
  • Other financial tasks as directed by the Finance Director - Integration.

Skills:

  • Ideally be a qualified accountant (Big 4 ACA with first time passes preferred).
  • Must have experience of managing finance for a multi-million pound project.
  • Must have worked on an integration programme or a programme with similar complexity and size previously
  • Must have a track record of successful managing a wide set of senior stakeholders including a team of qualified accountants/PM's
  • Must be an excellent communicator with strong relationship building skills
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of operating Oracle.
