Management Accountant

A great opportunity has arisen in Warrington for a management accountant with a well-respected and known telecoms industry. You will be reporting directly to the financial controller and you will need to have business acumen and commercial awareness to be successful in this role.

About this management accountant role:

In this business critical management accountant role you will be responsible for to act as business partner to specific strategic business units to provide timely, insightful and accurate commercial analysis and support. You will need to be commercial aware within this growing telecoms company and assist with other duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts for specified strategic business unit, having the responsibility of ensuring all reported costs are controlled and managed to budget and all revenues are maximised
• Preparation of detailed monthly financial analysis including a commentary for project managers and programme directors
• Support the project managers to ensure accurate reporting of project costs, identifying areas of concern and reporting on the actions required to remedy
• Actively manage the levels of WIP that the strategic business unit is carrying, with a view to shortening the time to invoice
• Proactively challenge existing processes to ensure best practice
• Assist in the production of budgets
• Assist in the production of monthly and quarterly forecasts
• Undertake analysis to help identify opportunities for growth and development
• Ad hoc project work as required
