Interim Finance Director - to £800 per day - Leeds - 6 month contract

Our client is a market leading FTSE 250 business which continues to grow its presence across the UK. Through innovative and commercially-focused contract management, this organisation delivers services and expertise to a wide-range of sectors. We are seeking an Interim Finance Director to lead a £500m turnover division based in Leeds.

The Role

In order to support the division at a critical time in its growth, our client is looking to hire an Interim Finance Director to facilitate the release of a number of key business transformation objectives by the end of 2017. The successful candidate must have strong commercial experience, ideally from within a large, complex business, with a clear track record in the delivery of strategic change. The Interim Finance Director will have a blend of gravitas and solid financial leadership skills in order to manage both external client relationships and key internal stakeholders. Specifically, you will have a track-record in the following areas:

• Overseeing the delivery of outsourcing contracts
• Partnering with subject matter experts across the business to ensure financial parameters are adhered to
• Project budgeting & forecasting
• Assessing areas of over-spend and creating insightful, remedial solutions
• Overseeing the flow of management information to various senior managers and development of analytics for contract performance
• Reviewing KPIs and setting appropriate measurements in line with corporate objectives
• Provision of advice on resource allocation and financial target setting for 5-10 year contracts
• High-value business case evaluation
• Taking a lead role in the Executive Management Team with a view to influencing efficiencies and optimising revenues.

This role will suit a highly-experienced individual with a very strong track record in the interim market.

The Candidate

The Interim Finance Director we seek will have strong academics, and be a fully-qualified accountant with a solid career as an interim. They will be able to demonstrate experience in the transformation of large, commercially-diverse businesses and the ability to deliver to very strict strategic deadlines. Rate for the Interim Finance Director role will be up to £800 per day plus expenses. We expect the duration of this role to be 6 months initially.
