Head of Finance

Our client is a PE backed technology business who pride themselves of being first to the market with their product. Through a clear growth strategy, they have been able to maximise on this opportunity, ultimately allowing them to complete a number of successful funding rounds.

In order to continue this strong growth trajectory, they are now looking to recruit a Head of Finance that offers strong technical capabilities with a commercial mind-set. Reporting directly into and deputising for the CFO, this role offers extensive stakeholder engagement, and will require the successful individual to have a seat at the table in Board meetings, in the absence of the CFO.

Key responsibilities:

• Deputising for CFO attending Board meetings as required;
• Reviewing and summarising commercial & business partnering outputs, providing narrative ready for presentation to the Board;
• Overseeing the monthly management accounts process;
• Producing weekly cash flow forecasts;
• Preparing statutory accounts at year end;
• Managing the annual audit and the relationship with the auditors;
• Liaising with the banks and HMRC;
• Supporting future fundraising activities;
• Investor relations;
• Implementing financial, administrative policies, procedures and controls and ensuring the continuing adequacy of controls;
• Involvement with adhoc projects as required.

The ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified Accountant – ideally ACA from Top 4 Accountancy firm looking for their 2^nd Industry move;
• Driven to join a fast growth, technology business that is targeted to achieve impressive growth;
• Experience working in a PE backed business – preferred not essential;
• Strong technical skills, with a commercial mindset;
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present to the Executive Team;
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated, works smart and delivers fast.
