ASSISTANT REVENUE FINANCE MANAGER- REAL ESTATE - £33,000 - 40,000 - OUR CLIENT is a Central London based industry leading, specialist real estate owner, developer and manager who take pride in ensuring that their tenants continue to be at the fore of every decision. They are a fast-growing company, actively seeking further pipeline opportunities to scale beyond their current level in their specialist target markets. As a result of this continued growth, they have now created a new role for an Assistant Revenue Finance Manager to join their expanding team.

 

THE ROLE will focus on the following key areas:

Accounting / Reporting:

  • Preparing the monthly, quarterly and annual revenue figures (both P&L and balance sheet) for the operating properties of the business.
  • Providing commercial analysis of variations from budget.
  • Inputting key management information, through the weekly revenue KPI figures, including rent collection KPIs, occupancy KPIs, and average weekly rent KPIs.
  • Providing the Customer Accounts Team with weekly updated tenant late payment chase lists.
  • Responding to ad hoc revenue finance queries from the broader business - 'business partnering'.
  • Posting of all block bookings and commercial income invoices in the booking and billings system.

Process Management:

  • Managing the tenant card refund, card chargeback processes and overseeing the monthly tenant rent card payment collection cycle.
  • Supervising rent account bank transaction uploads and rent account bank reconciliation processes.

Audit & Tax:

  • Preparing year end revenue audit working papers.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for auditors regarding all revenue work streams.
  • Operating property revenue tax compliance in accordance with business tax policies.
  • Preparing of the revenue numbers for the operating property quarterly VAT returns.

 

The Person: In order to apply, you MUST be currently studying (part-qualified) ACCA, CIMA or equivalent and ideally possess a degree. Previous revenue accounting experience across an operating business would also be deemed highly beneficial, as would previous real estate sector exposure. Candidates must have exposure to P&L / balance sheet accounts and or management / financial accounting and be confident and prepared to work within a professional and friendly finance department of which approximately half are qualified Accountants.
