Establish, implement and maintain an audit plan setting out the audit work to be undertaken - taking into account all activities, as required by the business and the complete system of governance.

Description

  • Plan, direct, complete and manage the completion of the audit plan (a mix of financial, operational, compliance and integrated system audits) to meet time, cost and quality targets;
  • Assessment of financial and operational controls for all Group companies
  • Reviewing business processes within operating companies and recommending efficiency and control improvements
  • Reviewing operating companies risk management, internal controls and governance
  • Production of reports detailing business risks, commenting on efficiency and effectiveness of financial and operational controls
  • Consult with senior management in assigned Business Unit / Corporate Function to develop the audit plan for these areas;
  • Create and update a risk assessment and the risk profile of the Company;
  • Provide an independent appraisal of controls over group-wide financial integrity, operational effectiveness, automated controls, and compliance with regulatory laws and policies;

  • Identify potential areas of control vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future

Profile

Qualified Accountant

Ability to design and implement risk based audit plan for multi-site, multi-national operation.

Must have significant experience of accounting and /or audit experience, having worked in a large multinational organisation

Thorough understanding of accounting and controls

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills written and verbal, including report writing.

Must have "eye for detail" and work independently

Ability to handle multiple priorities and to work under pressure.

***Ability to undertake overseas travel to meet business needs - up to 50% of working time***

Proficient with Microsoft Office Package
