Credit Manager

Surrey based FMCG company is looking for suitably qualified and/or experienced candidate to take on managerial responsibility for the commercial credit control for assigned customer accounts and to work on a number of business transformation projects.

Managing one team member the role will responsible for the debtor’s ledger to ensure the efficient collection, control and administration of monies owed to the company within policy guidelines.  Must be able to work to achieve KPI targets in respect of debtor days, cash collection targets, unallocated cash targets, releasing of customer orders and producing month end reports.

Further responsibilities include:

• Overseeing customer invoicing process, operational credit management, credit management reporting, AR/GL.
• Managing monthly customer statements in a timely manner and confirmation of payment amounts.
• Responsible for international collection control for 4 entities; ensuring that customer accounts are settled according to contractual payment terms.
• Regular review of credit limits and identifying risk debt.
• Liaise with other departments to resolve disputes and chair monthly aged debt review meetings.
• Oversee AR Ledger Balance reconciliation and monthly reporting.
• Daily manage receipt of remittances and account allocation queries.
• Ensure that all SOX controls and processes are performed in line with documentation and evidences available on file.
• Play a lead in large scale business transformation projects relating to credit collection.

The ideal candidate for this role must have:

• ICM qualified desirable, but relevant experience more so
• Microsoft Excel skills 
• Sales ledger/customer service experience
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills 
• Exceptional time management skills, to confidently manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.
• Strong team player
