Principal Auditor - £26,000 to £33,000 - South Wales
Your New Company
Your new company is a well-established Public Sector organisation who are currently looking for a Principal Auditor to join their Audit function.
Your New Role
In this role your main duties are to support the Director of Audit & Assurance in achieving the strategic three year and Annual Operational plans for a number of client organisations. You will also be the lead auditor for a complex internal audit assignments for all stages of the reviews including planning, testing and analysis of complex information and commentating on policy and procedural improvements. You will produce audit reports summarising key findings and make recommendations with the support of the Internal Audit Manager for improvements on various systems and follow up with compliance. You will also allocate tasks to junior members and manage performance on individual audits, attend pre-audit and feedback meetings with the Internal Audit Manager and senior management. In this role you will have the opportunity to become a specialist in specific audit areas such as Risk Management or Project Management.
What You'll Need To Succeed
To succeed in this role you will have prior experience working in Internal Auditing. You must be able to work under your own initiative and with limited supervision. Previous supervisory experience and public sector experience is advantageous however not necessary. You will be studying to, or qualified in IIA, CIPFA, ACCA or CIMA.To succeed you must also be resilient and able to work under pressure whilst boasting strong communication and IT skills.
