Head of Finance

An internationally renowned fashion house, head quartered in London seek an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Senior Finance professional with experience in high-end fashion or retail to join them as Head of Finance. Reporting directly to the CFO and with a dotted line to the MD and CEO, the Head of Finance will be responsible for the day to day leadership of the Finance Department and for ensuring the provision of robust and efficient financial processes, controls and systems to deliver the highest standards of service in the company.

You will be responsible for day to day financial planning and the provision of timely and accurate financial information within the company and externally, as well as providing key input into financial decision making, particularly with regard to the annual budget and financial planning.

The Head of Finance will manage the Company’s financial affairs, including management and statutory accounts together with longer term financial projections and to ensure that the most efficient and effective financial control systems and reporting mechanisms are in place. 


Predominantly responsible for the accuracy of financials, and delivering month end processes and commentary, this role will also be working with other teams across the business to support the growth and delivery of the business results.

Areas of ownership:

• Daily financial management of the UK business and oversight of the international business, with a view to bringing control of the majority of international business into head office in the UK and its subsequent daily financial management.
• Financial Planning & Decision Making, Forecasting, budgeting and management reporting and Financial Accounting.
• Supporting the CFO by leading the day-to-day development of the finance function; developing all controls, processes & reporting.
• Ownership of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual processes for P&L, balance sheet, Cash Flow and all supporting schedules. Final statutory reports
• Business partnering with commercial and marketing teams.
• Reporting on actuals and providing commentary and SWOT analysis.
