Project Accountant, Annan £35000-£40000 per annum 18 months Fixed Term Contract
Your new company
An organisation based in Annan near Dumfries are recruiting a Project Accountant on a contract basis for 18 months, following acquisition.
Your new role
The Project Accountant, will be responsible for challenging and interrogating decisions. Reporting to the off site Finance Director, this autonomous role will provide visability to managers to ensure project remains in control and to budget.
Typical duties include:
Estimating Project costs, timescales and resource requirements providing regular feedback to the Project and Site Directors on how the project is performing, from a financial perspective.
Supporting the site management and project teams to provide sound financial advice and information on which they can make decisions regarding future plans for the site.
Escalating any financially related issues or concerns.
Undertake financial analysis and modelling for any project related financial considerations
Building constructive and collaborative relationships
Supporting key stakeholders as required on planning and budgeting and, where necessary, challenge assumptions or decisions.
Engaging with the project teams to coach and educate them on good financial practises.
Liaising regularly with financial colleagues to ensure the Annan site complies with financial policies, procedures and reporting requirements.
Producing regular project financial reports according to the reporting schedule.
Providing month end support to the Finance team.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified or technically strong QBE Accountant
Excellent business acumen and communication skills
