Financial Controller - Interim

This leading International Banking Group based in the City is looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to head up the day to day running of its small finance function. Reporting into the CFO and heading up the finance team this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a diverse and challenging role which has a great mix of duties and will certainly appeal to those looking to combine "hands on" accounting responsibilities with management duties.

The main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Responsibility for the preparation and delivery of all statutory, regulatory, tax and management information assigned to Finance
• To co-ordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Preparation of IFRS compliant annual financial statements and all disclosures
• Co-ordinate the annual external audit
• Responsible for direct and indirect taxation for the Bank including preparation of the annual corporation tax return and special VAT recovery method and quarterly VAT returns
• Responsible for the timely preparation and accurate submission of all financial regulatory reporting to the FCA, PRA and European Banking Authority
• Undertake stress testing for ICAAP and ILAAP
• Provide monthly management accounts including narrative and variance analysis
• Manage the annual budgeting process and the 3 year plan, forecast balances, revenues and expenses as inputs to a planning model

As the ideal candidate you will be a fully qualified ACA,ACCA,CIMA or QBE. You will have extensive experience working in a senior role within a banking or similar financial services business. You will have extensive management, reporting and regulatory experience. A knowledge of the current Regulatory landscape within an accounting perspective is a must.
