THE COMPANY:

My client is a leading dynamic nationwide company, part of a major international group. Due to increased workload within the business they are now recruiting a qualified Management Accountant. Based close to the motorway they are commutable from Sheffield, Rotherham and Alfreton.

 

THE JOB:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified (ACCA/CIMA) candidate who will be responsible for the management accounting of operational profit centres across the Company with combined turnover of c £17m.

Reporting to the Finance Manager the key responsibilities for this role will include:

Managing the weekly production of costings for several profit centres within the site

Submitting weekly costings and KPI information to Customers and Head Office

Producing monthly management accounts for all profit centres

Investigating and explaining variances in the management accounts

Producing monthly review pack of financial and operational management information for discussion with customers at review meetings

Producing annual budgets and periodic reforecasts for all profit centres

Invoicing and credit control customers and update Company cash forecast

Dealing with site suppliers including self-billing subcontract hauliers on a weekly basis

Numerous ad-hoc reports and project tasks as required (from the Site General Manager / Commercial Accounting Manager)

 

THE PERSON:

Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA

Attention to detail and analytical approach is essential

You will be experienced in accounts preparation, including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and income deferral.

Hard working and flexible, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.

You must be a good communicator at all levels up to and including Operational Managers and Directors, customers, suppliers and other internal staff

Expert in using IT, including Microsoft Office

Ability to coach and mentor at different levels within the company, to provide an understanding of finance to non -finance staff.

Willingness to learn about the company and industry with a desire to excel and develop.
