Your new company
The company are an FMCG wholesale food provider who are privately owned. They turnover up to £20 million but have a small number of employees within the business. Therefore it is an extremely tight knit team. This is an extremely exciting time for the business as they are currently implementing a new strategy focusing on profit. It is also the first time the business will have had a financial controller.

Your new role
The core of the role is finance, but you will be required to oversee operations and IT. The MD would like to run his business through detailed numbers, which he hasn't had previously. Thus, you will create the management accounts and produce them monthly, as well as providing KPI reports and sales reports. There will also be various other aspects of financial analysis. Outside of this you will take ownership of the cash flow and P&L, as well as budgeting and forecasting. There will also be an administrative aspect to the role which is key to the business. You will be required to complete this and will need a keen eye for detail.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a broad range of experience and ideally be immediately available. The candidate must start by the 9th January at the latest. The ideal start date is ASAP however.

What you'll get in return
You will get a salary of up to £40,000 p.a. and the opportunity to join a growing business at a great time. The salary will go up in the coming years as well based on performance. Your role will be to help in implementing processes and improving the system (Sage 50) to facilitate the growth. You will get to strategically business partner with not just the managing director, but with all employees in the business on a daily basis. Lastly, the MD has indicated he will retire to a non-exec role within 5 years and is looking for someone who could potentially step into his shoes.
