Description

This is a truly exciting opportunity for a qualified Treasury Business Partner to join on of Walse's largest Housing Associations during this significant period of change.

The Treasury and Investment team is led by the Director of Treasury & Investment and comprises two business streams, Treasury Operations (which this role leads) and Investment. The T&I team operate alongside the Finance team and focus on supporting the Group in relation to investment decisions and the strategic direction of the Group, and ensuring adequate and appropriate funding is available to meet the Groups objectives.

The Business Partner - Treasury Operations will report to the Director of Treasury & Investment and will support them in ensuring:

• The integrity and efficient operation of treasury systems, procedures, processes and information;

• Compliance with the terms of funding arrangements;

• High quality reporting and other advice to Group Members.

The role involves:

• Leading the day to day treasury operations of the Group monitor and manage a highly performing function.
• Assist the DT&I in the development and implementation of the Groups Treasury Management Strategy and Liquidity Policy and ensuring all financial policies and procedures within area of responsibility are in line with current legislation and best practice and all staff are fully trained and supported in their implementation.
• Manage the day to day the Groups loan portfolio and banking arrangements.
• Monitor and forecast covenant compliance across the Group.
• Monitor and report on finance cost against budget.
• Ensure all funder, partner, regulatory and statutory reporting requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Ensure that Group cash-flows are produced and monitored to ensure liquidity and the most efficient use of resources.
• Develop, implement and manage the Groups Asset and Liabilities register.
• Monitoring and reporting upon available security and ensure that securitisation of stock is undertaken in an effective and efficient manner.
• Support the DT&I on treasury management issues relating to the Welsh Housing Partnership.
• Depending upon activity levels and absences there will be a requirement for working across the treasury and investment work streams covering for the Head of Investment when necessary.
• Deputise for the DT&I on all issues relating to the loan portfolio when necessary.
• All staff are expected to help identify, explore and implement opportunities for improved efficiency.

Profile

Essential Skills required;

• Relevant professional qualification in finance and/or Banking or significant experience gained managing a large treasury function.
• Understanding of commercial loan agreements.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• The ability to communicate with different stakeholders in written or verbal format.
• Understanding of loan facilities and documentation.
• A methodical approach to handling data from various sources.
• Self-motivated and practical, with a 'can-do' attitude, ability to adapt to change and lead others through change effectively

Job Offer

Basic Salary of £50,000
