This finance role will need to develop an understanding of how Marketing, Operations and Product actions can be optimised to support business growth; and through financial analysis make fact-based decisions that improves critical KPIs.
Client Details
My client is a world leader in sports media content and have recently launched a new business with which this role will sit within.
Description
The role will certainly develop and change as the company grows, but example critical "deliverables" are:
- Design, generate and manage reporting frameworks / dashboards for the business to manage financial performance on a weekly basis
- Work with the marketing team to measure, analyse & report financials on online marketing programs
- Generate ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting to support marketing planning, strategy and churn management
- Delivering an understanding of who our customers are and how they are using the service. This will include customer funnel effectiveness, channel analysis and targeting effectiveness
- Perform data mining, blending large financial datasets to support analysis and drive further insights
- Investigate and explain the financial impact of Product changes or Operational issues
- Analysis of the profitability of our sports rights; based on rights cost, subscriber content consumption and marketing effort in generating these subscribers
- Prepare written financial analysis and present findings to senior managers including the CFO, CEO and CMO
Profile
- A minimum of a 2:1 Bachelor's degree in a science or quantitative subject
- 5+ Years' experience of financial modelling, data management, information systems and related software (e.g. Tableau, Excel/VBA, MS PowerBI. Looker etc.)
- Excellent analytical & financial modelling skills - demonstrable success in delivering real-time insight that is actionable and drives revenue, churn, margin improvement
- Track record of distilling complex financial information into compelling visualisations
- Ideally a history of working as a commercial/finance analyst in a subscription based business
