An outstanding opportunity to join a FTSE 100 World-leader and household name as Commercial Finance Manager (Retail). This is a high-profile position and excellent business partnering opportunity supporting the Head of Retail Finance and other senior stakeholders.

As the Finance Manager - Retail you will be responsible for delivering a consolidated trading view for all Sales Channels. You will be expected to Business Partner with those responsible for the various sales channels to set challenging, yet achievable, targets to drive the best value for the business through cost efficiency and an understanding of end-to-end profitability. This will include developing a clear strategy for Retail (and other Business areas) extending over the next 5 years (the output of which will be embedded within the 5 year plan).

As well as the overall responsibility for Retail, you will lead a team of 2 individuals to directly business partner the e-commerce team and third party channels. This will include support in preparing business cases for investment, assessing the performance of retail websites and creating a process via which to review the commercial success of our third party relationships.

You will be responsible for reporting on trading, representing Finance at the weekly trading meetings and ensuring that all targets are up to date and reflect the latest view of the business' requirements. To support this you will drive high quality MI and ensure that reporting is provided at the right level of detail and granularity to drive optimal decision making.

The successful applicant in this role will also be expected to support the Head of Finance - Retail in aiding the business to deliver its strategic goals through the ad hoc analysis of key initiatives and support of business cases to enhance channel delivery.

Every year the business will revisit its 5 year strategic planning cycle and the individual in this role is key to ensuring a robust strategy is in place for Retail, through proactive collation of the plans of all the retail channels. The individual in this role will also be responsible for preparing the final presentation ahead of review with the Director of Retail.

The successful candidate will be Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), with Post Qualified, commercial experience of business partnering senior management. A good commercial understanding and strong business partnering skills and ability to challenge stakeholders are a MUST. Ideally gained in a large matrix or FTSE 100 / 250 equivalent organisation. You will have strong analytical skills and be able to deal with complexity and ambiguity.
