You will also work with the team to advance the level of financial controls to ensure the business manages its risks appropriately.

My client is experiencing a period of significant growth and is well positioned to acquire substantially in the coming years. Due to this growth, they are looking for a Financial Controller to enhance the reporting process.
Description
The incoming Financial Controller will have responsibility for complex accounting for financial instruments under IAS 39. Financial results will have to be prepared on a country reporting basis and a legal entity basis with appropriate controls between the two basis.
The financial information produced will be used to inform decision making process requiring the need for high quality, useful and timely produced reporting to allow the business to monitor progress against objectives. Additionally the UK business results information will form a significant element of the Group's external reporting.
Reporting to the UK Finance Director you will interact with senior members of the UK management team and be the key member of the UK finance team ensuring an efficient external audit process. You'll manage a team of around 15 employees through a number of direct reports
Profile
- You will be a qualified accountant with several years PQE, with significant experience of reporting under IFRS. Additionally you'll understand the financial control and reporting environment expected of a UK listed entity.
- Given the nature of the Group's accounting for acquired debt portfolios, it would be advantageous for you to have some experience of IAS 39 accounting models (IFRS 9 Financial Instruments).
- You'll be responsible for overseeing a team of +10 in the finance operations area
