The Asset Charging Manager will take primary responsibility for monitoring and reporting on the companies security position and maximise the debt raising capacity. The primary responsibility for this role is to manage the charging of assets to lenders and investors for this leading real estate and property company.

Description

Asset Charging Manager duties and responsibilities

  • Work with the Asset and Liability Controller to agree policy, processes and procedures to release or reallocate properties from security pools in order to sell properties or maximise the debt raising capacity.
  • Ensure the asset covenant requirements finance agreements are met, providing compliance certificates
  • Ensure all debt raising or compliance reporting is available and can be obtained within the defined timeframes.
  • Assist in the production of high quality data to meet capital market investors
  • Arrange property security for any new or restructured debt facilities, liaising with Lawyers, Security Trustees, Property Surveyors, Local Authorities and internal teams
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the security area providing advice to the corporate finance team and wider business
  • Effective matrix working with FP&A manager
  • Work with the Asset and Liability Manager in maintaining and populating the Asset & Liability Register
  • Profile

    Asset Charging Manager Skills

    1. High degree of IT literacy including Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point (Desirable).

    2. A track record of using technology to accurately analyse and interpret large volumes of data (essential)

    3. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to produce meaningful summary management reports (essential)

    4. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to develop good relationships with colleagues and able to effectively communicate at all levels. (essential).

    Knowledge/Experience

    1. An understanding of the conveyancing process and key lender requirements (essential).

    2. Experience of working within a finance department and using finance and property management systems and databases (essential).

    3. An understanding of accounting and finance with an understanding of financial products, accounting policies and procedures and basic corporate finance principles (desirable).
