Technical Financial Accountant

Edward Mann are recruiting position on behalf of a large private multi-site business - Our client currently requires a Technical Financial Accountant to in their team based in Central London.

The Technical Financial Accountant will be responsible for the completion of statutory accounts in line with FRS102. This post will act as the main point of contact with the external auditors. Furthermore, this role will provide technical accounting support & guidance to various key stakeholders in the group.

Duties:

• Produce annual financial statements for circa 40+ statutory entities in line with FRS102
• Prepare the annual company audit files to support financial statement disclosure
• Manage working relationships with the external auditors, managing the timetable and ensuring that the statutory deadlines are met.
• Produce technical accounting papers for the senior executive team, outlining the implications of a particular accounting treatment, or a particular judgement.
• Support the wider Senior Management team throughout the year, providing technical support and guidance on best practice in the sector, and on any complex accounting and reporting areas.
• Remain up to date on changes to accounting standards and reporting requirements, to ensure the group remains compliant.
• Lead all accounting requirements implementations across the group, from new accounting standards to new disclosures.
• Ensure consistency by reviewing the application of key accounting policies

Candidate profile:

• Qualified chartered accountant (those not qualified but with relevant experience will also be considered)
• Experienced in preparing statutory accounts
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong IFRS and US GAAP technical accounting
