Finance Analyst

Anthony Cole Associates are proud to be once again exclusively partnering a hugely successful US owned business based in the Docklands. Due to an upcoming maternity period, they seek a qualified Finance Analyst to join their team for 12-15 month period to start immediately, who will effectively partner with Management and deliver the required information, and insight to make informed tactical and strategic decisions which improve business results. Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, the Finance Analyst will:-

• Provide financial analysis with particular focus on Corporate expenditure, explaining year on year variances and expense drivers to business heads to facilitate driving long term results;
• Provide financial analysis for the consolidated SPSI Corporate business to senior management including making observations and recommendations for subsequent actions;
• Preparation and analysis of month end actuals identifying variances and suggesting remedial actions;
• Building quarterly forecasts, annual budget and strategic multi-year plan working closely with department heads and management;
• Lead the payroll accounting, liaising with external payroll provider and HR;
• Ensuring other business units’ (e.g. Investor Communications, Sales & Marketing) expenses are appropriately treated, liaising with the necessary analysts in the US to ensure completeness;
• Serve as the focal point of Intercompany transactions and balances in the UK;
• Review and control areas of risk associated with P&L, B/S, resources and reporting requirements;
• Participating in ad hoc projects within the UK finance team and internationally (US, Indian service centre and international business units);
• Assist the Financial Controller with meeting statutory obligations of the company especially where items are driven from the Corporate departments business, e.g. PSA compliance, audit etc.
• Liaising with offshore India team with month end processes, approval of balance sheets and continuous process improvements.
• Any other reasonable requests by the UK Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller or Finance Director.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with post qualification experience in industry as an analyst, preferably with previous experience of providing cost focused financial analysis in a commercial environment within an International business, or ideally a US owned subsidiary.
